This private garden ohana apartment is tucked behind historic Waimea Guest House in Waimea, Hawaiʻi Island. This home is one of Waimea’s earliest houses, dating back to the late 1800s and was home to the Lindsey ʻohana — an early Waimea ranching family connected to Hawaiʻi’s paniolo tradition. The original home was built between 1860–1890 and remained in the Lindsey family for generations. The orginal Lindsey’s raised twelve kids in the orginal two room structure.

Today, our Garden Ohana offers peaceful upcountry charm with the comfort of a beautifully renovated guest suite with private entrance, just minutes from charming Waimea town with cafes and farmers markets, and a short drive to the best Kohala Coast beaches.

The apartment features a full kitchen, dining area, tiled bathroom, and spacious bedroom with vaulted ceilings, a queen bed, and two window seats overlooking lush gardens. Thoughtfully designed for privacy and comfort, the Garden Apartment is ideal for couples, solo travelers, small families, or guests exploring Waimea, Hawi, the Hamakua Coast, North Hawaiʻi, and the island beyond.
